After diving into the latest insights on Scrum Master salaries from salary.com, you can see, there is a large variance in salaries for Scrum Masters.
Organizations make salary decisions based on their compensation strategy (company X may pay within 10% of the 50th percentile of the market, whereas company Y may pay between 10% of the 65th percentile etc.)
This full salary range will likely not be made available at one company, as some companies set their compensation strategy higher than others. However, companies will have a smaller range of salaries that they are willing to pay for the role, depending on the experience of the candidate.
That’s why it is so important to be willing to look around, move around from one company to another! You want to keep progressing with your Scrum certifications, have a resume ready to go and interview effectively, so you have the best chance of receiving a more lucrative offer.
